IG is one of the most reputable brokers out there. Being publicly listed adds accountability. Best execution policy is published. Spreads are slightly wider than pure ECN brokers but the reliability is unmatched.
Good for spread betting, opaque execution

Been with IG for spread betting. It's reliable and well-regulated. But for CFD trading, the execution model isn't clear. Being a market maker isn't inherently bad, but I'd like to see execution stats published publicly.
